ALERT - Overland Park Bulky Item Collection, city sponsored

Affecting the following location(s): Overland Park KS

Collection for 2013 will occur East of Antioch.
Saturday, June 15: for residents north of 87th Street to the city limits.
Saturday, June 22:for residents south of 87th Street and north of College Boulevard.
Saturday, June 29:residents south of College Boulevard to the city limits.

Please have your items curbside prior to 7:00 am.
Items Collected Include
• Appliances
• Railroad ties (4’ or less in length)
• Fencing (Cut into 4' x 4' sections. Bundle loose pickets for easy collection)
• Furniture
• Carpet (cut into 4' x 4' sections)
Bundle or package loose items.
Put out only those items not collected by regular trash service.

Special Requirements and Restrictions:
• Large pieces of glass must be broken down and placed in boxes.
• Swing sets must be disassembled.
• No items larger than a household-size refrigerator.
Materials which will NOT be collected include:
• Items weighing more than 150 pounds
• Tree limbs or tree stumps
• Hazardous materials (includes tires, toxic materials, paint, car batteries, fireplace ashes, solvents or oils)
• Excessive quantities of concrete, rubble, or refuse from remodeling, construction or demolition of buildings
• Waste from commercial establishments
• Compressed gas cylinders
Refrigerants (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, ice makers, etc.) will be charged at $75.00 per item. Please contact our office to pay for the collection and have a Service Ticket created for this event.

ALERT - Mission Woods Bulky Item Collection

Bulky item collection will occur on Saturday, June 8, 2013. Please have your items curbside prior to 7:00 am.

Items Collected Include

In observance of Memorial Day, trash, recycling and yard waste collection will be delayed one day for the week of May 27th. Normal collection schedule will resume the following week.
